The Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) signed agreements with six universities on Sept 5 to cooperate in facilitating the transition of more biomedical research findings from the laboratory to production lines.

The partner universities are China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing Normal University, Soochow University and Yangzhou University.

The center and the schools will set up joint innovation centers focused on biomedicine, translational medicine for cardiovascular diseases, industrialization of traditional Chinese medicine resources, functional biomaterials, radiation medicine, as well as prevention and control of major animal epidemics and zoonoses. The center will give full play to its advantages as a bridge between research teams and investors and manufacturers to help accelerate commercialization of research outcomes from these schools.
