SIP resonated with patriotic fervor as people gathered in different places to watch the grand military parade held in Beijing on Sept 3 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

It is worth mentioning that Li Wenlong, government affairs director at SIP-based on-line tourist service conglomerate LY.com, watched the parade on site. Li described this opportunity as “not only an honor, but also a responsibility”, vowing to contribute to high-quality development of cultural tourism and national rejuvenation.

A group of veterans, old and young, watched the event at Xietang Sub-district Veteran Service Station. Xiao Jianqing, an 80-year-old who fought in Vietnam, expressed profound emotion. “Watching the parade reminded me of the day we returned victorious decades ago,” he said. “Today’s advanced weapons show that we are better equipped to safeguard our nation and peace.”

State-owned enterprises, tech companies and research institutes in SIP organized events for their employees to watch the parade together.

CPC members in Loufeng Sub-district watched the event at the Donggang Jiahe Community Activity Center.
