SIP recently announced several school building and expansion projects scheduled this year. As planned, 4,800 new school seats are on the way for school-agers in the area.

A compulsory education school with 36 classes will be built on the land plot south of Wangdun Road, west of Wansheng Street, and north of Zhongyuan Road, with a total floor area of 77,000 square meters. The project is set to be completed within the year to provide 1,800 new seats.

The high school to be built on the land plot east of Shengpu Road will consist of 60 classes with 3,000 seats. The project, with a total floor area of about 128,000 square meters, is also scheduled to be completed this year.

Additionally, several schools will be renovated. The renovation of the Xingtang Street Campus of Dongshahu Primary School, involving a floor area of about 18,000 square meters, will be completed this year.

The third phase of Suzhou Centennial College in Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, with a floor area of about 36,000 square meters, will be delivered this year.

Xinghai Experimental Middle School will build an art and sports complex with a total floor area of 30,700 square meters, and renovate the buildings and outdoor facilities in the eastern part of its campus.

One third of the about 139,000-square-meter new campus of SIP Industrial Technical School will be completed this year.

The canteen of SIP Lianhua School will be expanded, and the renovation of Dahu Chengbang Kindergarten will be completed this year.
