The ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions Flagship Center came into operation in SIP on Oct 28.

ZEISS is a world-leading tech company which has a balanced portfolio that is geared toward attractive future-oriented markets in optics, precision mechanics and optoelectronics. ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions offers a broad global spectrum of customer services through the ZEISS Quality Excellence Centers close to its customers.

The new facility, with a total investment of about RMB80 million, is ZEISS’ largest and most functionally integrated industrial quality solutions display and application platform in China.

The project encompasses an industrial measuring equipment exhibition hall, a calibration center, a customer application development center and a multi-functional event space. It serves as a vital window for ZEISS to connect with global customers and enhance brand influence.

Marc Wawerla, member of the Executive Board of Zeiss Group and head of the Zeiss Industrial Quality & Research (IQR) segment, said SIP, with its favorable innovation ecosystem and integrated industrial chain system, serves as a crucial pivot for Zeiss to deepen its localization strategy and expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

The center will team up with the ZEISS Quality Excellence Centers in cities like Changchun, Tianjin, Nanjing and Shanghai to establish a network connecting regional industrial clusters with global technological resources which will help accelerate the introduction of more advanced measuring technologies and smart manufacturing solutions into China.
