Great Wall Motor (GWM), a leading Chinese automobile manufacturer, put an intelligent platform R&D center into operation in SIP recently, aiming to delve deeper in intelligent driving.

GWM, celebrating the 35th anniversary of its founding this year, has been striving for technological innovations while accelerating its global expansion and green transformation. Its products are exported to more than 170 countries and regions worldwide. In 2024, the group hit record highs in operating income, net profit, new energy vehicle sales and overseas sales.

Located at G ? Plaza, the intelligent platform R&D center owns an about 1,000-square-meter underground intelligent driving testing area for research and testing of automatic parking, low-speed navigation and other intelligent driving solutions.

For the next step, the center will leverage the advantages of the concentrated industrial resources in the Yangtze River Delta to speed up R&D and application of intelligent driving technology and bring more Chinese intelligent driving solutions into the global market.
