The contemporary photography exhibition themed “Open Windows” that is scheduled at Ui ART Center in SIP from Apr 20 to Aug 31 unlocks a visionary lens on the evolution of Chinese photography today.

Curated by Simon Baker, who is regarded by many as one of the leading curators of contemporary photography in the world, this exhibition features over 150 groundbreaking works by 69 contemporary Chinese artists.

Breaking free from traditional narrative frameworks, the exhibition boasts a multidimensional dialogue across five theme sections, inviting visitors to join a non-linear journey through time and space to explore how photographic art has transcended constraints to become a vessel of memory and a medium for interrogating reality.

Among the works are those highlighting explorations in the relations between mankind and nature, and also those portraying evolution of cities. Together, they show a vivid history of art.
